Our Story.

LOVE FIRST is an emerging faith community of the United Methodist Church, nestled in the heart of Haywood County, North Carolina. We're a vibrant group of individuals passionate about building a more just and equitable world.

Equality, equity, and community service are at the core of our values. We believe in the inherent worth and dignity of every person, regardless of their background, , orientation or identity. We strive to live out our faith through acts of service, working alongside our neighbors to address local needs and build a stronger community.

We're a bit unconventional, a nomadic community that doesn't have a fixed meeting place. We believe that true community can be found anywhere, and we embrace the flexibility and creativity that comes with this approach. We may gather in community centers, coffee houses, local businesses, and sometimes even churches – wherever love and connection can be found.
